Crafting HM Seven Spice Chai Gin
In crafting HM Seven Spice Chai Gin we distil cinnamon, star anise, cardamon, nutmeg, cloves, black pepper, ginger and tea extract with a healthy dose of juniper. All botanicals are added to the pot of the still for distillation with nothing in the botanical basket.
After distillation, we add a generous amount of Wildflower honey to balance the spices and juniper, and of course, add a touch of sweetness to give our chai spiced gin its signature smooth finish. This creates a versatile gin that has a rich mouth feel and is full of flavour.
Creating HM Seven Spice Chai Gin also helped us connect with our local community, as all honey is sourced from Bizzy Beehive Australia based in Beveridge Victoria.
